Robert August was almost a dentist. Already an international celebrity, thanks to his role in The Endless Summer, the Seal Beach celeb was well on his way to an ordinary life outside the sport before his doctor convinced him otherwise. "I didn't know if I wanted to do it, so I made an appointment with my dentist to see if he enjoyed it and he said he hated it. It's repetitive, like fixing dings, except you're messing in people's mouths and they hate you. I really started thinking about it and decided I'm a surfer."
Colin McPhillips - Born and raised in southern California has multiple world titles for longboarding including the 2002 Oxbo in Cabo San Lucas and last years US OPEN first place win in Huntington Beach. Colin is a Stewart team rider and favorite son of the extreme sports broadcasters as he uniquely cross pollinates the screen with his pro surfing victories and ‘extreme off road’ motorhead antics including world famous Glamis dune runs.
Robert James 'Wingnut' Weaver rose to fame for his appearance as the longboard surf star in the feature film "Endless Summer II." He continued to surf on a longboard during a time when longboarding wasn't "cool." But because of his dedication to the sport, Wingnut has since become recognized as the premier longboard surfer in the world. 
Champion longboarder and tandem surfer Mary Osborne is a classic triple threat. Most widely known for winning the longboard division of MTV’s “Surf Girls,” the pro surfer and surf model is also making her mark as a host and personality. Raised by Solimar Beach in Ventura, Calif., Mary picked up her first board at the age of 14. “I got into it basically because I wanted to be better than the boys,” she says, referring to her three older brothers who all surf. “I was supposed to be the ballerina.” Around the time that Mary started surfing, local surf shop owner and former pro surfer David Pu’u was pursuing a new career as a photographer. They started working together to create beautiful modeling and surf images, while Mary began promoting herself as a competitor by attending tradeshows, contacting companies and participating in several competitions. She quickly started garnering attention, and became the first woman to grace cover of The Surfer's Path, a popular European surf magazine, after Pu’u shot and submitted a photo. Mary’s big break came when MTV selected her out of 4,000 other young women to compete on its reality series, “Surf Girls,” where she more than proved her skills by winning the longboard division. In 2003, she was nominated for a Teen Choice Award as “Best Female Athlete,” and was named the first “Action Girl of the Year” by Action Girl, Inc.
