The SurfAid Mission:
SurfAid utilizes cutting edge solutions derived from the best programs and medical technology available on the world stage. The SurfAid Mentawai Health Program addresses the most pressing health, humanitarian, and developmental needs of the Mentawai people. Each project has been designed with the help of international experts, is cost-effective and culturally sensitive, and may be replicated and transported to new regions and countries.

By fostering community participation SurfAid's goal is to empower people and provide community based health and development programs to control malaria, improve nutrition, and hygiene; and decrease the rate of deaths from respiratory infections and diarrhea. The programmes empower local communities to continue to bring about their own improvements in health and quality of life and are designed to work with local government and non-government organizations to bring about permanent change.

The development philosophy of SurfAid is a hand up, not a hand out. SurfAid assists the people to gain control over their health, own the program, and ensure that a long-lasting legacy of better health remains.

Kids Rock Free Mission:
The state of Arts education for the children in this country is in dire straights. Only 32% of the Elementary Schools in the U.S. offer any arts education to their students. Time after time studies have shown the positive impact that arts education has in early childhood development, and yet programs continue to get cut. This is a grass roots program that has already helped thousands of children, but thousands more are on the waiting list. The Fender Museum’s Kids Rock Free® Curriculum has already been shared with other institutions around the country and is working on continuing to expand it even further… including Kids Rock Free® On-Line with Internet classes for children around the world. This can only happen with continued and expanded support. Kids Rock Free® is not just about teaching young lives, it’s about enriching them. Remember, in a perfect world… Kids Rock Free®!
The Lions Clubs International Mission:
In 1925,
Helen Keller challenged Lions to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness" during the association's international convention. Today, Lions are recognized worldwide for their service to the blind and visually impaired. Lions demonstrate their commitment to sight conservation through eyeglass recycling, sight partnerships and countless other sight services.

The Lions ambitious SightFirst Program has restored sight through cataract surgeries, prevented serious vision loss and improved eye care services for hundreds of millions of adults and children. To continue and expand this effort, Lions have launched Campaign SightFirst II, with a goal of raising at least US$150 million.

The Surfing Heritage Foundation Mission:
The Surfing Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, presenting and promoting surfing’s heritage for the appreciation and education of current and future generations; and to achieving our goal of surfing being more accurately understood, represented and enjoyed.

Preservation: Focusing on the complete spectrum of surfing’s history and development, including but not limited to significant surfboards, photography and the full range of other forms of information and objects of cultural value.

Presentation: Establishing a world-class museum/resource facility, including an outreach program that creates exhibits and develops venues for effective traveling and/or offsite display: that this facility might serve as a symbolic center for the wave riding culture in the United States, dedicated to the understanding and appreciation of surfing as a sport, lifestyle, and culture.

Promotion: Building a community who actively support the Surfing Heritage Foundation with fundraising, promotion and advocacy.
